Don Bosco House
Tumkur
Established in 1997 as Rinaldi Bhavan and later re-christened as Don Bosco, Tumkur, our institution stands on a sprawling 13-acre plot of land. Situated 6 kilometers from Tumkur town along the Sira road, we are surrounded by five villages, each within a 5-kilometer radius, devoid of direct transport facilities and high schools. With a primary aim to prepare boys from Karnataka state aspiring towards Salesian life, we facilitate their journey towards priestly and Salesian religious vocations, nurturing their faith, human maturity, academic proficiency, and discernment process.
Beyond our Aspirantate and Apostolic School, we extend our services to the community through various apostolates. These include Savio Bhavan, a haven for underprivileged boys, academic schooling from Kindergarten to High School, a vibrant Youth Center, Spoken English and Computer classes, and pastoral care for the local Christian community and migrant youth. Additionally, our engagement with nearby government primary schools underscores our commitment to address societal needs, where we offer value education, extracurricular activities, and support to boost the morale of children in need. Through our multifaceted approach, we endeavor to empower individuals, uplift communities, and foster holistic development in Tumkur and beyond.
